Luchi
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Water, as needed
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, ghee, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls. Roll out each ball into a thin circle.
- Heat oil or ghee in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Carefully slide a luchi into the hot oil. Fry for a few seconds on each side until golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the pan and drain on a paper towel.
- Serve hot with your favorite curry or chutney.
Tips:
- The dough should be soft and pliable, but not too sticky.
- If the dough is too dry, add a little more water.
- If the dough is too wet, add a little more flour.
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying the luchis.
- Do not overcrowd the pan when frying the luchis.
- Serve the luchis hot and enjoy!
